Our Healthcare and Life Sciences practice once again took part in the International Pharmaceutical Forum of Uzbekistan. Managing Partner Alexander Panov moderated the plenary session, “Uzbekistan’s Pharmaceutical Market 2026–2030: Strategic Balance of Innovation, Localization, and Accessibility.” The discussion brought together key stakeholders, including representatives of the Ministry of Health, Director of the Agency for Development of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry Abdulla Azizov, Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Ilzat Kasymov, as well as delegates from AstraZeneca, SK-Pharmacy, and the World Bank. Counsel and Head of Practice Ekaterina Tretiakova delivered a presentation on “Legal Aspects of Localization: Contractual Frameworks, Investment Protection, and Partnership Support.”
This week, Managing Partners Tatyana Neveeva and Bobur Karimov (Head of Tashkent Office), Partner Vladislav Skvortsov, and Counsel Ernest Khachaturyan are actively participating in two major strategic events: the Tashkent International Investment Forum and Uzbek Arbitration Week. During the forum, the VERBA LEGAL team attended the Wildberries satellite event and several panel sessions focused on building new investment hubs and developing a world-class dispute resolution ecosystem.
