Julia specialises in advising individuals and legal entities on sanctions measures in the EU, the US, the UK and other jurisdictions. Yulia supports projects on unblocking assets of individuals and legal entities, including participation in challenging refusals to unblock assets, as well as directly liaising with foreign regulators in the area of sanctions.
Prior to joining VERBA LEGAL, Julia worked at JSC Raiffeisenbank in the Financial Sanctions Group and at AB BGP Litigation in the Sanctions and Compliance Practice Group.

Education
In 2021, Yulia received a bachelor's degree with honours from the All-Russian Academy of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.

Obtained a Euroclear licence to unblock assets for a Russian individual investor who does not hold a European passport or residence permit.
Drafted applications to unblock the assets of individuals and legal entities for submission to the Belgian Ministry of Finance, as well as accompanying clients after authorisation of the transfer of assets.
Drafted applications for individual OFAC and OFSI licences.
Supported the filing of an application to challenge a decision of the Belgian Ministry of Finance, which resulted in the Ministry of Finance cancelling its decision.
