Alexander represents clients in the settlement of large-scale cross-border disputes and in the implementation of transactions complicated by atypical corporate and sanction aspects, and protects their assets in court and out of court, including the searching for and unfreezing of assets, investigations, challenging arrests and injunctive relieves, and using procedural tools to achieve strategic results.

Alexander advised:
the largest metallurgical group, in a global commercial dispute involving more than 15 jurisdictions; the team acted as the main coordinating consultant;
a principal, in connection with unfair claims in the High Court of Justice of England and Wales in order to establish control over a large block of shares in a leading Russian industry company;
a principal, in connection with the unlawful confiscation and subsequent resale of a significant asset by a foreign country, including support for international investigations and lawsuits in a number of jurisdictions;
a principal, as part of an investigation into corruption schemes, including forced disclosure of information to support foreign proceedings against an opponent, a large Western corporation, in connection with its illegal activities in various countries;
a Russian industrial holding company, in a corporate conflict with shareholders from "unfriendly" countries to the extent of the management of affairs of joint ventures, at the international level, including reputational and crisis management, conducting a compliance investigation and reaching a settlement deed.

a Russian strategic investor, as a part of the leveraged buyout (LBO) of participatory interests and shares in agricultural industrial enterprises;
a Russian bank, in connection with the acquisition of coal mining and coal trading assets;
a joint venture between a leading logistics group and a leading international chemical group, in a complex reorganization due to the risk of sanctions and political pressure;
a leading logistics group, in a deal aimed at acquiring shares in Hong Kong companies that own a marine export fleet, involving project and trade financing and followed by subsequent transfer of vessels to long-term time charters;
the largest Russian investment company, in the REPO transaction with a Russian bank in respect of shares of agricultural industrial enterprises;
a consortium of investors, as a part of the establishment of the largest Russian joint venture in the field of specialized marine engineering for the development of the Northern Sea Route, including the acquisition of targeted port infrastructure;
a private developer, in a deal aimed at acquiring a well-known Russian ski resort with broad investment support offered by a public corporation;
local management, in a deal of management buyout (MBO) due to the withdrawal of foreign companies from the Russian market in view of the geopolitical situation, taking into account the mechanisms of potential investor return;
