On 30 March 2026, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan signed Decree No. UP-48 “On the Establishment of the Tashkent International Financial Centre” (the Decree). The document was published in the National Legislative Database and entered into force on 31 March 2026.
The Decree provides for the establishment of the Tashkent International Financial Centre (TIFC, the Centre), within which a special legal regime based on the common law of England and Wales will apply. As part of the Centre’s structure, the Tashkent International Commercial Court (TICC) will be created. Participants of the TIFC will be granted a range of tax, customs, and operational preferences until 1 January 2076.
