In July 2026, the Republic of Uzbekistan (“Uzbekistan”) adopted a number of legislative acts affecting the financial sector, investment activities, and personal data regulation.
In particular, the Tashkent International Financial Centre was established with a special legal regime, new mechanisms for the socio-economic development of the city of Tashkent were introduced, and rules governing the cross-border transfer of personal data were approved.
