Alexander’s main areas of practice include advising on and supporting transactions in the fields of land, real estate, and construction, conducting legal due diligence of real estate assets, and liaising with government authorities. He also prepares legal opinions on matters relating to urban planning regulation and land and property relations. In addition, Alexander advises on the legal framework governing special economic zones (SEZs) and advanced development territories (ADTs) in the Russian Federation.
Selected experience
Legal due diligence of real estate assets conducted on behalf of one of Russia’s largest food retail companies operating nationwide retail chains;
Legal support for a project involving the registration of land rights in favour of a concessionaire for the construction of a linear infrastructure facility across several regions of the Russian Federation;
Legal due diligence of a pharmaceutical manufacturing enterprise, which required the analysis of both Russian and foreign legislation and a comprehensive approach combining legal and technical aspects of the facility under review;
Legal support in establishing easement rights over third-party land plots to ensure access and passage (registration of a public servitude), including liaising with public authorities and technical experts during the registration process;
Legal due diligence of a mixed-use complex (MUC) with an area exceeding 20,000 sq. m, followed by legal support during its acquisition;
Legal due diligence of a high-tech Russian manufacturing company developing advanced hardware and software solutions for the healthcare sector;
Legal due diligence of port infrastructure facilities and advising on the establishment of a fishing port in the Russian Far East.
