he Employment Law practice of VERBA LEGAL successfully represented the interests of one of the largest pharmacy chains in court proceedings involving an employee dismissed for a disciplinary violation — unauthorized absence from work.

Employment disputes are often described as a “one-sided game,” as court practice tends to favor employees as the weaker party. This case involved a number of additional complexities, including the remote nature of employment, suspension of work, employee misconduct, a change of judge during the proceedings, and other factors. Nevertheless, we successfully proved the legality of the dismissal, — commented Anna Berlina.

Following the consideration of the case, the court supported the employer’s position and fully dismissed the employee’s claims.
