From 13 to 16 May, 2025, the inaugural Russian International Arbitration Congress (RIAC) is scheduled to take place in Moscow under the auspices of the Russian Arbitration Center (RAC). VERBA LEGAL will act as the leading partner of the event and hold its own conference as part of it.

On May 15, 2025, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm, VERBA LEGAL will be hosting the conference entitled "Disputes in Western Forums: Winning Strategies for Russian Parties" at Four Seasons Hotel Moscow.

The event is primarily designed to demonstrate that, even given the current mostly negative coverage, many Russian companies contractually obliged to refer disputes to Western forums are still able to defend their interests in arbitration and courts. Experts will share their experience of dealing with the practical issues they face when representing Russian companies in commercial and investment arbitration amid the sanctions pressure.
