On 10 October 2024 a new sanctions authority became fully legitimate in the UK — the Office of Trade Sanctions Implementation. Though Trade, Aircraft and Shipping Sanctions (Civil Enforcement) Regulations 2024 were published long ago and OTSI was planned to be launched as early as 2023, it did not start work until now.
