On October 30, 2024, the U.S. Treasury Department imposed sanctions on 175 individuals and entities from 17 jurisdictions, including the PRC, Switzerland, Turkey, Thailand, and India., affecting manufacturers of rolling stock for railways and urban rail transport and tyres, and the seemingly previously protected area of Life Science, as well as a number of companies and entities allegedly involved in the supply of machine tools and dual-use goods to the Russian Federation.
